49. Concert domra “lux” “Slavyanskaya”

As an experiment, we decided to assemble a top‑category concert domra following all the established canons and rules, but to design it in such a way that the instrument’s “front” would harmonize with ancient Slavic national costumes.

The result is an instrument with an enlarged body volume, steel frets, and an ebony neck. It sounds like a top‑category concert domra, yet has a distinctly folkloric appearance. We believe that an instrument in this style will suit ensembles performing music with an ethnic flair.

We would also like to highlight the wood used for the fingerboard, peghead, pickguard, and armrest: we used very rare Siamese rosewood, which grows in two colours — these shades are designed by nature itself (see photos).
